8 Bit Synth: First Real Proto Building

I got the boards today.  It's much larger in the flesh than I thought it would be.  I'm used to much smaller pcbs. But in the grand scheme of things, I guess it's not that large compared to your average desktop motherboard.  I started putting it together today. I'm waiting on a shipment of parts from Mouser.  So far so good.  I already have a list of things that need to be fixed.  That's prototyping for you.  Some things are just to be expected.  I know the micro is running, but that's about it at this point.  Some of the hardware won't work until I get some software written. None of that will be too hard. Getting the sound right and developing that will be the tough part.  I'll post some pictures later when things are actually running.
