8 Bit Synth: The Schematic
Boom. There it is. I've been working on it for a good long while and I'm pretty happy with the result so far. The image is enlargeable if you want to get up close and personal with it. I haven't 100% tested it yet. I reached a point on the breadboard where it was going to be silly to continue to develop it without a pcb. The pcb is almost done. I'll be ordering it soon and then there will probably be revision 0.2 of the schematic because I've never ordered a first revision of a schematic/pcb and have it work 100%. I've released the second version of a design, but never the first.
So, the major components are there. The AVR 164P, a bunch of I/O expanders to handle a bucket of LEDs and tactile switches, some multiplexers to deal with all the pots, and the digitally controlled analog filter. I'm going to cover each of these things in a post of their own. So, stay tuned and have fun checking out the schematic.
